22a Gordian III. AD 238-244. AR Antoninianus (23mm, 4.34 g, 5h). Rome mint. 1st emission, AD 138. IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AVG, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / VICTORIA AVG, Victory advancing left, holding palm frond and wreath. RIC IV 5; RSC 357. Lightly toned, a few scratches. Good VF. Well centered and struck on a broad flan. Attractive portrait.

22b Gordian III. AD 238-244. AR Antoninianus (22mm, 4.47 g, 1h). Rome mint. 10th emission, AD 242. IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / P M TR P V COS II P P, Apollo seated left, holding branch and resting elbow on lyre. RIC IV 89; RSC 261. Lustrous. Near EF.

22c Trajan Decius. AD 249-251. AR Antoninianus (22mm, 3.77 g, 6h). Rome mint, 3rd officina. 3rd-4th emissions, AD 250. IMP C M Q TRAIANVS DECIVS AVG, radiate and draped bust right / PANN O NIAE, the two Pannoniae standing back to back, each with head turned outward and holding signum, the one on the right raises right hand. RIC IV 21; RSC 86. Good VF.
