PHRYGIA, Eumeneia (as Fulvia). Fulvia, first wife of Mark Antony. Circa 41-40 BC. Æ (20mm, 7.34 g, 12h). Zmertorix, son of Philonides, magistrate. Bust of Fulvia (as Victory) right; c/ms: EYMENEΩN and ΦIΛΩNIΔOY (?) monograms, each within circular incuse / Minerva standing left, holding spear and shield. For coin; RPC I 3139; for c/ms: RPC I p. 508; Howgego –. Even dark brown surfaces, ethnic removed in antiquity. Fine.

The erased ethnic and the countermarks can possibly indicate an attempt to return the city to its regular name, following the brief change to Fulvia.
