ITALY, Papale (Stato pontificio). Sixtus IV. 1471-1484. AV Fiorino di camera (21mm, 3.36 g, 12h). Rome mint. Undated, but struck 1475. Papal coat-of-arms within quadrilobe / St. Peter standing left in boat, casting net. Grierson, Coins of Medieval Europe C14; CNI XV 26; MIR 452/1; Muntoni 12; Berman 448; Friedberg 23 (Vatican). Underlying luster. Near EF.

The Fiorino di camera was the second of the two gold denominations introduced by the papacy in the fifteenth century and shows the other well known papal motif - St. Peter fishing/
