Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon; A below / Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, transverse spear in background; to inner left, ΘE monogram above monogram-in-circle. Thompson –; Müller 315; HGC 3, 1750 (for type); SNG Berry 408 (Byzantion; letter on obv. off flan). Rough horn silver deposits, flan flaw on reverse. VF. Very rare, particularly with letter visible on obverse. |
