JEWELRY. Egypt. Late Dynastic Period. 664-332 BCE. (17 mm, 32 mm, and 22 mm). Faience with green glaze (amulets) and Carnelian (scarab). A lot of three Egyptian amulets: 1. A naturalistic scarab in carnelian with fine definition on both sides of the piece. 2. A djed amulet with 4 pillars and bar along the back with small piercing for suspension. 3. A finely cast amulet of Horus in human avatar wearing the crown of Lower Egypt (Red Crown) and a long scarf on his Falcon head. He stands, right leg forward, arms to the side next to his simple kilt. A long bar along the back is pierced mid bar for suspension. |
