Bareheaded, draped and cuirassed bust right; A behind / Soldier standing left, holding shield and spearing fallen horseman to left; shield on ground to lower right; LXXII//*ΓSIS(upturned crescent). RIC VIII 335; LRBC 1205. Toned partial silvering and dark green-brown patina. Good VF. The LXXII on this issue likely indicated a reevaluation of this denomination to 72 per Roman pound. |
