MACEDON, Roman Republican period. First Meris. Circa 174/3-149 BC. Fourrée Tetradrachm (30.5mm, 14.62 g, 11h). Imitating Amphipolis mint. Diademed and draped bust of Artemis right, with bow and quiver over shoulder; all in the center of a Macedonian shield / Club right; monogram above; all within oak wreath; thunderbolt to left. Cf. HGC 3, 1103. Toned, fourrée core visible near diadem and bust. Near VF. Interesting blundered legend.
