HANOVER. George IV. 1820-1830. AR Shilling (23mm, 5.64 g, 6h). Dated 1821. Laureate head left / Garnished shield crowned, thistle on left, shamrock on right with “WWP” in centers of leaves, rose, ANNO and date below; smaller crowned shield of Brunswick Luneburg in center. ESC; SCBC. EF, lightly toned. Only one W is clear (under magnification) in the shamrock leaves.
