HANOVER. George III. 1760-1820. AR Crown (38mm, 28.32 g, 6h). PISTRUCCI under obverse and reverse types. Dated 1819, LIX. Laureate head right / St. George slaying the dragon right within inscribed Garter. ESC 215; SCBC 3787. Good VF, a few marks, retoning from an old cleaning. The 181 in the date is “crudely” recut; and some letters in the Garter legend (notably the A in MAL) are recut. See notes 2 and 3 on p. 27 of ESC.
