MEXICO. Revolution of 1910-1917. Chihuahua. Ejercito del Norte ("Army of the North"). Struck at the Chihuahua mint by Pancho Villa. AR Peso (39mm, 29.49 g, 6h). Dated 1915 CHa. REPUBLICA MEXICANA, eagle standing on cactus in lake, holding snake in beak and talon / EJERCITO DEL NORTE UN PESO. CHa. 1915 F. M. 902.7., liberty cap and rays. KM 619. EF, light tone

Which side is the obverse and which the reverse? Note that the Muera Huerta Peso has the army name on the eagle side and ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS on the cap side, opposite the arrangement of this issue (which uses the now obsolete "REPUBLICA MEXICANA form). Some cataloguers list the side with the date and mint mark as the obverse, on matter which die was which, probably for marketing reasons. We still call the eagle side the obverse (as does KM).
