AKARNANIA, Leukas. Circa 345-307 BC. AR Stater (23mm, 8.42 gm). Pegasos flying left / Helmeted head of Athena left; forepart of griffin behind. Pegasi II pg. 424, 117. Toned VF.
The griffin symbol on this coin is noticeably larger than on any of the specimens listed by Calciati, and it appears the caelator may have carved a notch in the die face to accomodate his design.
