SCOTLAND. David II. 1329-1371. AR Groat (29mm, 4.37 g, 11h). Second coinage. Edinburgh mint. Struck 1357-1367. Crowned ‘Robert II-style’ bust left; scepter to left, star at base; all within tressure of arches with trefoils in spandrels / Long cross pattée; mullet with central rosette in each quarter. SCBI 35 (Ashmolean & Hunterian), 387-9; SCBC 5100. Iridescent toning, some weakness in legends. VF.
