MYSIA, Lampsakos. 4th-3rd centuries BC. Æ (10mm, 0.87 g, 6h). Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Helmeted head of Athena right; ΛA below. Baldwin, Lampsakos, –; SNG BN –; SNG von Aulock –; Klein 274. Earthen dark green patina. VF. Very rare.

This rare issue of bronze is probably related to a recently discovered issue of silver hemidrachms featuring the bearded head of Zeus on the obverse and the same reverse as here (cf. CNG 79, lot 312).
