Trajan. AD 98-117. AR Denarius (19.5mm, 3.37 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck circa AD 107-108. Laureate bust right, slight drapery / Trophy on stump, consisting of tunic with helmet on top, round shield and oval shield as arms; at base, two swords, two javelins, and two shields. RIC II 147b; Woytek 268bC; RSC 98 (this coin illustrated). EF, lovely iridescent cabinet toning, minor encrustations. Excellent portrait.
