SELEUCIS and PIERIA, Antioch. Trajan. AD 98-117. AR Tetradrachm (23mm, 14.67 g, 6h). Struck AD 112/113. Laureate head of Trajan right, set on eagle standing right; club to left / Laureate bust of Melkart-Hercules right, with lion’s skin tied around neck. Prieur 1517 (Tyre; this coin); McAlee 462; RPC III 3547/11 (this coin cited and illustrated). Good VF, toned, a few light scratches, extra metal (die rust) on Trajan’s nose.
