CILICIA, Tarsos. Circa 420-410 BC. AR Stater (21mm, 10.59 g, 8h). Rider, sitting on an ornate saddle, riding panther(?) left, holding club; to upper right, bird (eagle or owl?) standing left; below panther’s belly, ankh / Archer kneeling right, drawing bow; monogram to lower left with two branches above; all in dotted square within incuse square. Cf. Casabonne Type D (unlisted variety); CNG E-430, lot 173 (same dies); otherwise unpublished. VF, compact flan. Very rare.
