Massacre scene: military firing squad about to shoot insurgent with wife and child pleading at side; in foreground, soldier about to stab insurgent; to left one soldier dragging insurgent off; burning buildings in background / la/St Barthélemy/de juin 1848, ou la/terreur blanche./les royalistes se vengent de/la révolution de fevrier;/ils tuent et transportent/les républicains/sans les juger in nine lines; star below; all within ornate border consistin of alternating crossed sabers and skulls-and crossbones flanked by drops.
