LUCANIA, Metapontion. Circa 540-510 BC. AR Third Nomos (18.5mm, 2.72 g, 12h). Ear of barley with seven grains and bracts at base; MET down left field / Incuse ear of barley with seven grains. Noe Class I, 33; Gorini 5; HN Italy 1460; SNG ANS 177; SNG Lloyd 294; SNG Lockett 373–4; Bement 157. Near EF, toned, light cleaning marks on reverse. Excellent metal for issue.
