Two steatite scarabs. Egypt, New Kingdom, 1550-1077 BC. Two scarabs with simple features and piercings for suspension. The smaller of the two (13x10mm) is engraved with a sun (
ra) above a scarab beetle, the larger (18x12mm) with a lengthy inscription covered with purple ink. Some chips, particularly on the larger piece.
