Steatite cowroid. Egypt, New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty. Thutmose III (circa 1479-1425 BC). Cowrie-shaped seal with unadorned back and piercing for suspension. On face, r mn xpr, a name of Thutmose III (13x6mm). A small but well-preserved specimen.

The son of Thutmose II and Hatshepsut, Thutmose III was the sixth pharoah of the 18th Dynasty. He ruled for over half a century, during which time the Egyptian Empire reached its zenith.
