Steatite scarab. Egypt, Second Intermediate Period, 1650-1550 BC. Scarab with simple details and piercing for suspension. Face engraved with a series of pseudo-glyphs. Such nonsensical inscriptions are typical for the time of the Hyksos occupation (19x13mm). Well-preserved with only a couple miniscule chips.
