Diademed head of Ptolemy I right, wearing aegis around neck / Eagle with closed wings standing left on thunderbolt; [ΠA (date) in exergue]. Although this obverse die was used for tetradrachms dated years 79-81, the amount of wear is consistent with the illustrated pieces of year 81.
