New Kingdom. Circa 1550-1070 BC. Steatite plaquette (14x11mm). One side with a finely carved baboon seated to right on a pedestal inscribed with two ankh (“life”) symbols. The opposite side is fragmentary, with over half the original design now lost. Pierced. Artistic.
