PTOLEMAIC KINGS of EGYPT. Ptolemy V or Ptolemy VI(?). 204-180 BC or 180-145 BC. AR Drachm (16mm, 3.12 g, 12h). Uncertain mint in Cyprus(?). Diademed head of Ptolemy I right, wearing aegis around neck / Eagle standing left on thunderbolt. Svoronos –; SNG Copenhagen –; Noeske –. VF, rough porous surfaces, cleaning marks. Very rare.

This coin, if it is part of the same series that includes tetradrachms and didrachms, should have a date and/or mintmark on the reverse. Even though the coin is corroded, there are not any indications of either, and a silver drachm is also unrecorded.
