Helmeted and cuirassed facing bust, holding globus cruciger and shield; cross to right / Large M; cross above with pellets in the angles, date across field; B//τHЧP. DOC –; MIBE 147b; SB 221. Good Fine, dark green patina with touches of red. Rare.


A rare variety with pellets in the angles of the cross on the reverse. MIBE lists only two examples for the type, the Roper collection and Dumbarton Oaks, but the Dumbarton Oaks specimen must have been acquired after the publication of their catalog.
