MESOPOTAMIA, Rhesaena. Elagabalus. AD 218-222. Æ (17mm, 2.92 g, 12h). Laureate head left above eagle flying right / Vexillum. Cf. Castelin 12. Fine, dark green-brown patina. Extremely rare with bust left.
Castelin 12 (in Berlin) is in very poor condition. An eagle below the bust was not noted by Castelin, but faint traces of it appear to be visible in the illustration.
