Egypt. Middle Kingdom, circa 2040-1650 BC. Quartz scarab (19x15mm). Base inscribed with crude signs which are partly obscured by damage. Back simply deliniated. Large chip on base, pierced for mounting.

Perhaps a crude eastern scarab.
