SYRIA, Coele-Syria. Damascus. Volusian. AD 251-253. Æ (24mm, 8.92 g, 12h). Laureate bust right, slight drapery / Doe standing right, suckling infant; in exergue, ram’s head right. Cf. De Saulcy 7 (does not describe exergual design); Rosenberger 59 var. (ram leaping right in exergue); BMC –; SNG München 1025 var. (same); SNG Hunterian 3461. Fine, black patina with earthen highlights, even roughnes.
