From the collection of a Southern Pathologist. Ex Classical Numismatic Group 38 (6 June 1996), lot 1397.

This issue is a actually part of the so-called English ‘Conder’ token series that was issued in large quantities and with an amazing breadth of types during the 1790s. The positioning of the K on the top star has led to their designation as “Kentucky cents.”
