KINGS of THRACE. Lysimachos. 323-281 BC. AV Stater (8.47 gm). Kyzikos mint. Struck circa 250 BC. Diademed head of deified Alexander right, wearing horn of Ammon / BASILEWS LUSIMACOU, Athena seated left, holding Nike, left elbow resting on shield, spear behind; monogram above knee, tunny left in exergue. Cf. SNG France 5, 2518ff (tetradrachms); cf. Jenkins, "A Hellenistic Hoard from Mesopotamia," in ANSMN 13, 39 (tetradrachm). EF, small dig in reverse field. Rare mint; apparently unique. ($2000)

The tunny is the mint signature for Kyzikos, and while tetradrachms for this mint are rare, there are no published staters.
