Constantine II. As Caesar, AD 316-337. Æ Follis (17mm, 2.29 g, 6h). Lugdunum (Lyon) mint. Struck AD 318. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust, raising hand and holding globe / Two Victories standing facing each other, holding between them wreath inscribed VOT/PR in two lines set on altar. Cf. RIC VII 89 (different obv. legend and mint mark); Lyon –; LRBC –. VF, gray-brown patina, hairline flan crack. Extremely rare.


The mintmark indicates that this issue was struck in AD 318, according to Pierre Bastien in Le Monnayage de L’Atelier de Lyon.
