CILICIA, Tarsos. Tarkumuwa (Datames). Satrap of Cilicia and Cappadocia, 384-361/0 BC. AR Stater (23mm, 10.34 g, 12h). Struck circa 370 BC. Baaltars seated right, torso facing, holding grain ear and grape bunch in left hand, cradling eagle-tipped scepter in right arm; thymiaterion to right; all within crenelated wall; star in right field / Ana, nude, standing right, facing Datames standing left, both have their right arms raised; thymiaterion between them; all within square square border within linear border. Casabonne series 3; Moysey issue 5; SNG France 298 var. (eagle under throne, no star). Good VF, toned, some roughness.
