Guru Nanak seated facing on patio, cross legged; to left, disciple Bala seated right, playing tamboura; to right, disciple Mardana seated left, holding peacock fan; shade tree behind, balustrade below, water pot and sandals in exergue / First verse of the Guru Granth Sahib. Brotman –; cf. Mitchiner, Indian 425-6 (for type); Classical Numismatic Group 69, lot 2068 (same obv. die). Good VF, reverse weakly struck with a worn die. Rare in gold.
