Philippicus standing facing, wearing helmet and military attire, holding eagle-tipped scepter and [globus-cruciger] / Large M; monogram above, star and crescent flanking; SCL. DOC –; cf. Anastasi 374 (M between two stars); cf. MIB 24 (same); cf. SB 1460A (same). VF, green patina. Overstruck on a second reign follis of Justinian II from Syracuse (SB 1438). Extremely rare and apparently unpublished with star and crescent on reverse.
