Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Nike, holding palm frond and wreath, standing right atop column; all within tetrastyle temple with Ionic columns and patera in pediment; ЄT BOP (date) in exergue. RG 11 var. (rev. legend, Doric columns; same obv. die as illustration); BMC 3 var. (rev. legend, Doric columns, star in pediment, Nike standing left with objects held in opposite hands); SNG von Aulock 6774 var. (slightly different arrangement of rev. legend, Doric columns). Near VF, brown surfaces, scratches before bust.

From the Bruce R. Brace Collection.

An interesting type. The “column” within the temple may in fact be a baetyl. The British Museum catalog describes the female figure surmounting it as “Nike or the goddess Enyo.”
