2nd Intermediate Period. Circa 1650-1550 BC. Black glazed steatite scarab (18x14mm). Base carved with several space filling signs typical of the Hyksos period, in the center a
sa, a
nfr, and a
ka, all signs of stability and good, flanked by symmetrical uraei, falcons, and signs for prosperity. Some wear on the back , pierced for mounting.
