Second Intermediate Period. Circa 1650-1550. Green glazed steatite scarab (19x14mm). Base carved with protection signs: a double crown of Lower Egypt over the sign for 'gold', flanked by ankhs (life) within cartouches. Intact, pierced for mounting.
