Laureate and draped bust left / Nilus reclining right, right elbow resting on sphinx, holding reed and cornucopia, surrounded by four boys representing the four seasons: Winter on left facing sphinx, Spring presenting the cornucopia, Summer on Nilus’ knee, and Autumn standing at his feet; crocodile below. RIC II 867 var. (bust right); Strack 737 (citing only 1 specimen with the head facing left). Fine, dark green patina. Very rare.
