Domitia. Augusta, AD 82-96. Fourrée Denarius (19mm, 2.82 g, 7h). Imitating a Rome mint issue from circa AD 82-83. Draped bust right / Pietas seated left holding scepter, extending right hand towards child standing left. Cf. RIC II 156 (Domitian); cf. RSC 12. Fine, scattered patches of horn silver, breaks in the plating revealing the copper core. An interesting imitation of a rare type.
