PLANTAGENET. Edward III. 1327-1377. AR Penny (18mm, 1.37 g, 12h). Third (Florin) coinage, type IV, reverse I. London mint. Struck 1344-1351. Crowned facing bust / Long cross pattée, with three pellets in angles. SCBI 39 (North), 1084; North 1116; SCBC 1546. Good VF, toned, some minor areas of weak strike, slight ghosting of reverse cross on obverse. A characterful portrait.
