Uncertain. 211-208 BC. Æ Sextans (20mm, 7.60 g, 6h). Sicilian mint. Head of Mercury right wearing winged petasos; •• (mark of value) above / Prow of galley right; grain ear above, KA monogram to right. Crawford 69/6a; Sydenham 310d; BMCRR 274. Fine, rough green patina, overstruck.
Part of a male head facing left is visible at the top of the obverse, otherwise little of the undertype is discernable. Perhaps BAR issue 25 (“Herakles?/Bull left” type) of Syracuse, currently attributed to Agathokles?
