Dated year 1 (132/3 CE). “Eleazar the priest,” seven-branched palm tree with dates / “Year one of the the redemption of Israel,” grape bunch with branch and small leaf. Mildenberg 149 (O1/R3); Meshorer 224a; Hendin 1380c. Near VF, earthen dark green patina.

An enigmatic figure, Eleazar is most frequently associated with Eleazar of Modein, the uncle of Bar Kochba.
