Є(W/D)ΛRD’ · DI’ [· GRΛ’ R]ЄX · ΛnGL · Z · FRΛnC’ · (saltire stops), crowned facing bust, with crescent on breast and quatrefoil to left and right of neck; all within tressure of arches, with trefoils in spandrels / POSVI DЄV[m : Λ] DIVTOR Є’ · mЄVm/CIVI TΛS LOn DOn (saltire and double saltire stops), long cross pattée, with three pellets in each quarter. Blunt & Whitton type II.i/v; North 1531; SCBC 1972. Near VF, toned, areas of striking weakness. Scarce. An interesting engraver’s mistake featuring a ‘W’ over a ‘D’ in the obverse legend.
