Geta. AD 209-211. AR Denarius (20mm, 2.95 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck AD 209. Laureate head right / Genius standing left, sacrificing from patera over lighted altar and holding corn ears. RIC 67; RSC 129. EF, reverse struck a little softly. Extremely rare, only two examples in the Réka-Devnia hoard.

This coin type is from the short first issue of Geta's coinage as Augustus, and is one of only two types used for his denarii of this emission. About a month after this issue, Geta's titulature advanced to TR P II, synchronizing the advancement date of his tribunician power with that of his father and brother.
