IONIA, Magnesia ad Maeandrum. Circa 282-225 BC. AR Drachm (19mm, 4.28 g, 12h). In the name and types of Alexander III. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; monogram in left field, maeander pattern in exergue. Price 2007b. EF, attractively toned. Very rare.

Price 2007 encompasses two varieties of the monogram, one with an omega or omicron at the top (2007a) and one without it (2007b). While this distinction is not mentioned in the text of Price, it is evident in the plates.
