TROAS, Dardanos. 5th century BC. AR Trihemiobol (9mm, 1.03 g, 2h). Cock standing right; star above / Incuse horse head left. Peus 368, lot 178 var. (no star); Giessener Münzhandlung 90, lot 300 var. (no star); CNG 82, lot 599 var. (same); cf. LHS 100, lot 295 (with star, but rough incuse design on rev.). Near VF, some deposits. Apparently unpublished and possibly unique.

Although the attribution of this issue is not certain, Dardanos is the only mint to feature these types on its coinage (cf. SNG Copenhagen 282 and 298).
