Rare issue, struck with reverse die of Laelianus. Struck from the same obverse die as the following lot.

The first issue of Marius' coinage at Colonia Agrippina is arguably his earliest, as its reverse dies were originally used under Laelianus (see Gilljam). As such, many of these coins exhibit a high degree of die wear on their reverse, like this and the following lot.
