KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’. 336-323 BC. AR Tetradrachm (27mm, 16.92 g, 12h). Aigai mint(?). Lifetime issue, struck under Antipater, circa 332-323 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in left field, pankratiast standing left, in ‘guard’ position. Price 187; Noe, Sicyon 3. VF, toned, obverse struck a little softly, die break on reverse. Rare.
