SICILY, Syracuse. Agathokles. 317-289 BC. Æ 21mm (10.58 gm). Struck circa 305-295 BC. Helmeted head of Athena right; griffin on helmet / Pegasos flying left. CNS II 115; SNG ANS 695. VF, green patina. There is no trace of the trident that normally appears below the forelegs of Pegasos.
