Diademed and draped bust right; c/m: club between small T-Y in incuse circle / Dido building Carthage: Dido standing left holding a ruler and scepter before the arched gates to the city, above the gate a mason at work on the towers; murex shell between, palm tree to right. Cf. Rouvier 2406; BMC Phoenicia -; SNG Copenhagen -; cf. AUB 245 (type for Elagabalus); Howgego 399. Near VF, dark brown, almost black, patina with some encrustations.
